Special Occasions was purchased in 2006 and ran it on a part-time basis as a home based business in Lloydminster,AB. Due to the rapid growth of the business and the growing demands on the current owner to balance the business and her family, Lynette decided to introduce a partner, Wanda Rowe, in 2008 to help her manage the business and begin expanding the service area. This partnership has allowed her to focus her energy on the creative direction of the company. She draws her inspiration for her creative ideas from various resources and puts effort into making each clients vision come to fruition through their event décor and ambience. Wanda’s role is to manage the marketing and expansion of the business as well as the other services that they have added to their services offered. They made the decision to open a retail location in Lloydminster and expand their service area to Edmonton and northern Alberta. As a business, they understand the needs of organizations. As family members, they understand the needs of setting special time apart from other events in their lives. Special Occasions strives to accomplish these goals by providing their clients with the high quality service that they as consumers would expect. Both partners bring different skill sets to the company and combined have created a powerful team. They thoroughly enjoy what they do and display this in the results they provide. |
